1. Scope and controller
This policy explains how Dvx labs processes information when you use The Fool: Tarot & Reflection, its account and interpretation services, and this website. Dvx labs is the developer and data controller for the processing described here.
2. Information we process
On your iPhone, the app can store your seeker profile, optional birthday and reflection preferences, journal entries, favorites, language, ritual settings, and purchase status resolved by Apple.
Guest mode requires no email. If you create an account, we receive the identifiers provided by the sign-in service, usually an account identifier and an email if you choose to share it.
For a deep interpretation, the app sends the cards already drawn, your selected language, your question, and only the optional profile fields you chose to provide. The service cannot choose or change cards.
Apple processes payment and billing information. We receive transaction identifiers and entitlement status, not your full payment card details.
3. Why we use information
- Provide readings, interpretations, the journal, favorites, and account synchronization.
- Restore purchases and determine access to subscriptions or visual decks.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, and answer support requests.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
Where applicable, we rely on performance of our contract, your consent for optional data, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Storage and retention
Guest journal data remains on your device until you delete the guest session or the app. Synced account data remains while your account is active and for the limited period needed for backup, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance after deletion.
Support messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet reasonable recordkeeping requirements. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies.
6. Your controls and rights
You can clear the seeker profile, delete a guest session, or request account deletion from Settings. Deleting an account removes the account and synced journal copy, subject to limited legal and security retention. Purchases remain associated with your Apple ID.
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security, children, and transfers
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
The app is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to digital services where they live. A parent or guardian should supervise use when local law requires it.
Service providers may process data in another country. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards and contractual protections.
8. This website
This website does not intentionally use non-essential cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking. Standard hosting logs may temporarily record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time to keep the website secure and available.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or law changes. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice in the app when a material update requires it.
